TFS is proud to work with a number of local and national organizations, both for- and non-profits dedicated to making our community a better and more sustainable place.

Professional Partnerships:

We partner with nonprofits, industry associations, and other organizations that support solar as a meaningful energy resource. These associations include:

AMICUS

Amicus was founded in the fall of 2011 when a small group of friendly solar installation companies decided it was time to form a special organization where independent businesses could support each other by sharing best practices and pooling their buying power. Amicus is a purchasing cooperative that is jointly owned and democratically managed by its member companies.

B Corp

Certified B Corporations are committed to higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. By joining the B Corp community and going through the certification process, TFS is able to support and help grow a movement we believe in. A movement that believes corporations and businesses are not only instruments of social change but have a responsibility to support our communities. TFS is proud to be a Certified B Corporation.

SEIA

Established in 1974, the Solar Energy Industries Association is the national trade association of the solar energy industry. As the voice of the industry, SEIA works to make solar a mainstream and significant energy source by expanding markets, removing market barriers, strengthening the industry and educating the public on the benefits of solar energy.

ARISEIA

AriSEIA is a chapter of the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and represents solar industry members and solar advocates. The group’s focus is on education, professionalism, and promotion of public policies that support deployment of solar technologies in Arizona.

Manufacturing Partnerships

TFS proudly partners with the leading suppliers and manufacturers in the industry to ensure only the best components go into your solar system. Our unbiased analysis of the various products in the marketplace allows us to provide custom recommendations based on what’s optimal for your unique installation.

Solar Panels
Solar PV modules produce electricity when bathed in sunlight; they have no moving parts and make no noise. TFS installs photovoltaic (solar) modules manufactured by SunPower and Q Cells. Both have excellent reputations for quality products, strong environmental records, and exemplary corporate governance histories. Both manufacturers have a linear power performance warranty.

Q cells

Q Cells is a major manufacturer of photovoltaic cells. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, after being founded in 1999 in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany, where the company still has its engineering offices.

SunPower

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, SunPower has the highest panel efficiency commercially available for residential applications.

Inverters
Inverters are the brains of your system, interfacing seamlessly with the utility grid.  Primarily, they turn the DC electricity from your solar panels into AC electricity, which is compatible with your household appliances and the utility grid.

At TFS we install Enphase, SMA and Tesla inverters. All of these manufacturers produce high quality equipment backed by 10-year or greater warranties. The choice of which inverter to use in any given system rests primarily with matching the solar electric (PV) system size to the most appropriately sized inverter.

Enphase Energy

Enphase Energy has introduced the solar industry’s first microinverter system. These inverters make it so that shading has less of an impact on system production. An Enphase microinverter attaches to each solar panel, which allows us to monitor each module independently.

SMA

SMA Sunny Boy grid-tied inverters are known for their reliability, modular expandability, high efficiency, and ease of operation. SMA inverter’s compact size and economical price make a nice option for various sizes of residential systems, and for adding a bit more power to an existing solar installation.

Batteries
Enjoy the peace of mind provided by back-up power during outages, maximize your savings from solar, and take advantage of tax credits with a battery storage system. TFS offers a range of battery solutions including the Tesla Powerwall3 and Enphase.

TESLA

Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers who wanted to prove that people didn’t need to compromise to drive electric – that electric vehicles can be better, quicker and more fun to drive than gasoline cars. Today, Tesla builds not only all-electric vehicles but also infinitely scalable clean energy generation and storage products. Tesla believes the faster the world stops relying on fossil fuels and moves towards a zero-emission future, the better.
